Tarot by Paris treats tarot as both a reading practice and a designed physical object. Our editorial work is for readers, collectors, artists, illustrators, deck creators, and small publishers who want thoughtful interpretation alongside practical guidance on making and presenting decks.
Research and source selection
We choose sources to suit the question at hand. Historical and interpretive context is informed by respected tarot references. Articles on illustration, typography, printing, materials, and packaging draw on relevant design sources and current manufacturer specifications. Reviews and buying guidance use current product pages for details that may change, including materials, options, quantities, prices, turnaround times, and policies.
We prefer primary and authoritative sources where available. We attribute sources in the article when doing so helps readers understand or check a factual claim. Calculations identify their assumptions and units. Estimates, interpretations, and unresolved details are labeled clearly rather than presented as settled fact.
Interpretation, opinion, and examples
Tarot meanings are interpretive, not mechanically fixed. We distinguish historical context from an editorial reading of a symbol, spread, or creative choice. Opinions and recommendations should have a practical basis: what a card needs to communicate, how a deck will be handled, or how a production decision may affect readability, durability, and the tactile reading experience.
Written or visual examples created to explain an idea are illustrations, not evidence that a particular event, test, or production result occurred. Generated examples are treated the same way. Firsthand claims are made only when documented observations, measurements, purchases, tests, or production experience have been supplied for that article.
Reviews and product evaluation
We do not claim that every deck, printer, material, or product has been personally tested. When firsthand evaluation is available, we explain what was assessed and the conditions that matter. Otherwise, an assessment is based on published specifications, current product information, relevant comparisons, and clearly identified editorial judgment. Marketing language is not treated as independent proof.
Commercial relationships
Some articles may recommend products, vendors, or related editorial resources. Any relevant documented commercial relationship is disclosed on the affected content. Commercial considerations do not replace the practical reason for a recommendation: it should still serve the reading, collecting, deck-creation, printing, or presentation task under discussion.
Corrections and updates
We aim to correct material factual errors and update time-sensitive information when changes become known. We may also add clarification when wording could blur the line between sourced fact, interpretation, generated illustration, and documented firsthand evidence. To report an error, email contact@tarotbyparis.com with the page title, the passage in question, and any supporting information.
